Beautiful area. I've always been a fan of Portland, but it could really benefit from a few slightly taller, modern buildings. Parts of the skyline are a bit boxy and dated. Still a remarkable place!

6.5/7ish

The skyline is very "small" in height but makes up for it in density and placement. I give the skyline a 6 and the city and surroundings a 10 so I gave an overall 8.

Living in Portland part time is amazing. Like someone said before, the hills and mountains are our true skyline. Looking at some of the pictures where buildings are surrounded by huge green trees at the bases show its ability to breath as a city. It truly is one of the most livable cities in the world. The city cares about the people and it shows. What a beautiful place to live!

I love all of the box buildings... I know most people don't appreciate box towers... but I love them. 8.5/10

Only a few standout towers but it seems like a beautiful place.

I love Portland lived there for years and hope to move back asap, and it is a wonderful place to live and the scale of the city is great.

BUT

This is about skylines, and Portland is pretty sucky in that department, 5.5, All of the worst buildings line the waterfront, the Pearl and Brewery blocks are nice, but low rise. You don't go to Portland for a great skyline, instead, you go because it is in a stunning natural setting, lots of great neighborhoods, great transit, walkable and the most livable larger city in America, or even North America.
