No disagreement there. Portland is a lovely and interesting city and has a charm which is something both Seattle and Vancouver lack. This, hoever, is a skyline thread and it is definitely sup-par for a city it's size.

Vancouver and Seattle don't lack charm.

One thing you really need to work on is being able to give a compliment with using it as an excuse to issue an insult at the same time. You can mention something you like about a city without announcing how you feel another city is lacking by comparison.

Are there any/many skyscrapers U/C in Portland?

I was reading the CSA has over three million...... one would think Portland would have a bigger skyline, say like Seattle?

hate to say this.... but these photos make Portland look like a big country town. The skyline is not impressive at all.

It has several highrises underway or recently completed. But none are very tall and they won't show up much on the skyline.

Portland is great because of the quality of its urbanity, not its skyline or size...like narrow streets, walkability, green, and independent businesses.
