lol @ Spooky

Thanks for sourcing those City Spire...and lol & thanks to fish.

NYT's spire is quite underwhelming from a distance.

(BTW What on earth *is* DocShergar on about? What a contributor! What a guy!)

I have no idea, but he should just shut up, its overwith, and it was just a misunderstanding. He made it out as if I criticized fish's pictures, which I clearly did not. I was talking about needing different types of pictures. People like to escalate things.

The spire is indeed underwhelming, alot thinner than I thought, but I like the red light on top showing its peak.

No offence should be taken as it's all subjective, isn't it? You hit the nail on the head in regard to this when you say "but its not for me im afraid". You and others aren't crazy about it, others are...like any building eh?

The building you ask about is the Westin Hotel @ Time Square. More here --> http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=...orkcity-ny-usa

I love this building but it is in no way a 1000'er in my book. Thats an almost 800 foot building with a 200 foot twig. Looks purdy though.

I agree with that!

I am quite pleased with the architectural design myself.

It's a awesome building. If it was 20 stories taller, it would truly be iconic.

it appears the cranes been lowered a bit. needless to say you can see the spire itself now and the red dot. a welcome addition to the midtown skyline.
