It's not getting painted. That's just the shadow of the crane.

Still fireproofing the upper floors. Once done, they will clad them and then work their way up to the crown. That side is actually the least completed side, the other three are closer to the top.

I just saw it last night, it was all lit up with temporary lights for interior work, especially the bottom. I still cant believe how big it is especially when comming in and out of the Lincoln tunnel.

I thought there was more packed into midtown ny's tiny little space on the globe than most other places. Huh go figure. I would prefer more 300m + in midtown actually. Say 11. Yeah that'll do.

Hell get us some 2000ft+ buildings in Manhattan and I so wish the WTC wasn't knocked down and NOT rebuilt since those towers just screamed "New York."

Anyway this New York Times tower is a perfect addition to the New York skyline. It's a very unique looking "box."

Update: 11/25/2006
NY Times Tower

The interior looks exactly the same as last week.

The only update is construction of a steel frame around the spire which is hardly worth a mention.

Here is the only update I could provide that shows anything, otherwise the entire structure (glass walls, rods, internal stairs, etc. all remain exactly the same as last week):

Unfortunately, I was ill and had no choice but to cancel dinner reservation at the top of the rock.

Two days later, I finally made it back to the city, but was not impressed with the (lack of) progress on the NY Times Tower.
