Yes it's time for something different to be built in Sweden and it could start a trend for more stylish arcitecture in the NB region. But I don't think they have the guts in Gothenburgs citycouncil to approve such a project..sad! The NIMBYS rules in Gothenburg..

Centrum, Majorna-Linné.

It has been at the planing stage, exhibition will hopefully to take place during autumn of 2011.

There wasn't a larger presentation of it so that is why I created one.

Illustrationsplan. För Merkurhuset och Kinesiska Muren redovisas under samrådsskedet möjliga alternativ gällande bevarande och rivning.
Planstrukturen är utformad så att båda eller endera av byggnaderna kan vara kvar. Stora Badhusgatans avslutning mot norr markeras av en byggnad.
I planförslaget redovisas alternativa volymer, med olika höjd och utbredning.

Erseus Arkitekter, Sweco Arkitekter, White Arkitekter, Arkitektbyrån

Skeppsbrons planstruktur i förhållande till den befintliga staden.

Den regelbundna kvartersstrukturen markerar ett tydligt stadsbryn

Stora Badhusgatan utformas som en klassisk stadsgata

Tvärgatorna från Stora Badhusgatan ner till älven utformas som så kallade gångfartsgator. Här samsas alla trafikslag men de gående har företräde.

Skeppsbrokajen, göteborgarnas nya mötesplats vid älven.

Förslag till utformning av Knutpunkten

Hotell Riverton föreslås byggas på två våningar.

Skeppsbrohuset föreslås byggas på med en våning. Vy från stenpiren.

Rosenlundsverket sett från sydväst. Bilden visar inte någon färdiggestaltad anläggning. Syftet är att beskriva omfattning och dimensioner.

På byggnadsnämnden den 1 juni återremitterades den första punkten i listan med uppdraget till Stadsbyggnadskontoret att återkomma med ytterligare alternativ för Kinesiska muren. Byggnadsnämnden vill se fler förslag på alternativa lösningar där Kinesiska muren eventuellt kan bevaras.

I've seen the plans for this building below Regionens hus (Vita Huset):

White architects

But are there plans for another highrise just close to it? And in that case what is it called? Any details of how it will look?

The highrise above is not on this render but will be built by the white building down to the left.

As you can see on the upper right corner the Clarion hotel Post high rise isnt in there either.

What will happen to the area to the north of the central is still very open. Hopefully they will arrange a contest but we will probably see at least one high building in that area (Regionens hus not included).

Regionens hus is very likely to become reality.

I've seen renders of the area with Regionens Hus, and another highrise located exactly at the same spot as the one above with a Västtrafik logo on it. It would make sense for Västtrafik to build a HQ right next to Centralen, instead of having it in Skövde like they do now.

Hey guys. Thought I'd give you an update on Hotel Post. Went by there today and snapped a shot, Seems like they've got some fascade-work going.
