I wouldn't call Brough, Swanland or Ferriby suburbs of Hull, as they are clearly detached from the urban area.

Surely a suburb has to be a part of a city's built up area, and have good transport links to/from the city centre etc, I accept Willerby, Cottingham and Hessle are suburbs, but places like Beverley, Brough and Ferriby would be part of a Hull metro if there ever was one.

It's not a discussion I particularly want to get into to be honest, cos it could just go on forever. Suffice to say that Beverley, Brough, Ferriby, Swanland and to the east Hedon, Preston and Bilton, whilst seperated from the City of Hull by green belt land (as well as the Humber in the case of Barton to the south) rely on the citys economy for work and shopping and as such are adequately connected transport-wise to be classed as a part of KUH just as much as the suburbs within the actual built up urban area. They are perhaps not suburbs in the strictest definition, but to all intents and purposes they function in the same way.

Latest News on Burnett House on Castle street is that after the renovation of it's exterior by citybuild over the summer from this:

to this..

they have announced Langtree plc. as the preffered developer to turn the interior into useable office space. Langtree have also announced their intention to build quality 4 story extensions on either side of the building to increase capacity.

Does anybody know anything about Langtree's track record with this kind of thing?

Also, how does it work? Will they announce the architects next or what?
