I love skyscrapers. I have been to St Petersburg and I know where this tower will be built - right opposite the Hermitage Winter Palace. Please build this tower in Moscow, not St. Petersburg. I love the designs but I fear this would wreck many vistas of possibly the most beautiful city in the world.

It would be like proposing a massive 300 metre tower opposite St. Mark's Square in Venice. A utter crime.

"right opposite" - exaggeration.

I hope this skyscraper will never get built. The historical centre is way too close, I really don't want to see any modern towers when walking around the palaces and grand squares.

But of course I also understand, that the location next to the historical centre would show much much better the mightyness of Gazprom than a some random location far from the centre. That's the company's target I think.

Bad news. The most boring uninspiring design has won.

I dont think its uninspiring. I think it is not dramatic which is what is needed there. It is neutral to its area - perfect!

FANTASTIC!

My fave proposal, clever that it looked like a flame, and the one that would be best for St Petersburg

They should build the RMJM design in a much smaller scale...and with a cladding that it looks like the flame of a bunsen burner.

I'm happy that RMJM won. Besides that one and the Libeskind one all the rests were way to fantasy and not very easy to fit in with the historical character that the city beholds. RMJM fits in more than all the rest. Libeskind is a awesome tower, but might not had been the best city toput it in.
