sorry didnt mean to get on my soapbox!
perhaps we should expect a press release on riverside south soon, there seems to have been a flurry of activity on london towers since BL upped the anti with its "some of these other developers projects wont happen" statement the other week.

CWG have already said they are proceeding with building the sub structure & basement which is going to take well over a year so they have no need. If things are going well they will just continue one or two of the towers. Even if everythign went belly up tomorrow CW will still have a very very low vacancy rate of less than 3% so its highly likel that some firm will take some space in it in the next 18 mths.

Great to see more activity on the site - I might even allow myself to believe this will actually get built!!

I have no sympathy whatsoever, if you buy a flat next to a huge empty site, in an area booming with construction in recent years, then well....need i say more

Its like those people who buy a house under the flight path of an airport, then complain its too noisy.

Now thats better, it looks like a construction site now, I was getting worried that this would turn out to be another Pioneer point.

Thanks for the photo chest. Presume with the piledriver next to the river and some piles of rubble there already they are hard at work at the retaining perimeter walls which I recall was the first major construction exercise to ensure the site doesn't flood when the basements are excavated in the future.

As we know from previous experience, there won't be many major pronouncements or epic publicity campaigns. Canary Wharf Group will employ their own contractors, and gradually push along with Riverside South in a quiet and measured fashion.

having a big construction site next door will be a pain for them - but when it's all done they'll benefit more than anyone. if i owned a flat there i think i'd be thinking it was a good moment to rent it out for a few years...

Last time I visited this site it was empty, now its up, up and away!
Personally, if I lived in those flats I'd be overjoyed that these monsters would be going up next door - but then I'm not your average resident NIMBY!

YEH, but when it's finished, the people in those flats will be looking up at a 236m wall of steel and glass.

The headlines read: 'another footballer is charged with sexual miscontuct'!

Is it pure coincidence that a mans Scrotum resembles a brain - requisite with both hemispheres, and its truncated spinal cord - always in search of sensation?

I knew him: he would go to Ikea and order "Four fried kitchens and a coke."
