I'm just saying based on what I knew when I was there, palestinians by far outnumber the jordanians in Jordan, no doubt about that.

jordanian students hystorically are among the best. and that is actually jordans main export. the expatriates ,traditionally to the gulf but recently to the us aswell.

the jordanian expatriates are not laborors but traditionally teachers ,doctors and engeniers and nowadays technichians .

there are 9 public universities and more than that private ones.

we have one of the lowest illetracy rates in the world

51% of the students are girls
7 out of the top ten students each yr are girls ( or so )
49% of the teachers are women
1.5 million students in schools ( 5.5 million pop.)

jordan is adestination in the region for study and treatment (even with the compitition such as dubai )

we hav e few research centers ( costly) but excellent manpower (often drained to the west )for example the RSC and the geographic center (really uptodate)
we have 2 of the most renound cetres for cardiology (espescially KHMC doing open heart surgery since the 70s and known worlwide)
the 1st satellite link in the world between MAYO clinic and KHMC
our airline maintenance facilities are liscinced from the US and EU
on of the few allowed to export pharmaceuticals to US
.........and more
i know it is unexpected

It's not unexpected,I knew it,like so many non oil countries.Jordan must go asking for funds more then now.Like morocco and tunisia are doing with the EU,jordan must do with the oil states.
