You can tell that they are really trying to copy BA! The colours are even in the same red blue red order.

I think it would be ok to use the same colours because the Thai flag has the same colours as the british flag. But the same pattern??

Well, I haven't seen BA sue OX yet, but if OX appears in Europe a lot more, then BA may have a case.

Apparently their only international destination is Hong Kong per their website.

They don't have enough aircraft to do it. I thought they were on the EU blacklist but just double-checked and no they're not on.

I think its best for them to keep flying domestic routes to avoid BA! I'm sure BA is aware of it........

urgh I know right?! What were they thinking? Just because it's a budget carrier, doesn't mean it has to look budget!

For me, the best livery is when a simple (usually white) background is matched with a distinct logo or emblem or national colors of the airline's country.

Those would be (all photos taken from www.airliners.net):

Singapore Airlines

British Airways (new)

Cathay Pacific (new)

Air New Zealand

Air Canada

Air France

Lufthansa

Philippine Airlines

Emirates

Delta

Continental

Thai (new)

and for those who have a distinct color but not so cluttered layout:

KLM

Vietnam Airlines

For some reason I also like the new livery of United:

and for classics, American Airlines (as I have known them all my life)

Here are the ones I don't particularly like:

Wizz Air

Germanwings

Pacific Blue Airlines

Zapolarye Airlines (looks like a wasabe colored JAL plane)

Titan Airways (this one looks like a Panda with an orange sun)

I'd have to agree with some of the people on A.Net when they say that whenever they see the new MH livery, it reminds them of PR.

Yeah and I wonder why the blue is on top of the red in the body section while in the kite on the tail it's the red on top of blue.

They should have reversed the red and blue on the body for more consistency.

That new MH livery is damn fugly...I wish they could've come up with something much better along the lines of the refreshed United & BA's stylized livery....

I agree!! MH needs their livery to be as iconic as other five star airlines. I find this livery really plane and feel its leaning towards budget airlines liverys.
