The Istana is not a prayer house....so why so many domes then? Create lots of "natural" sound to make the Agong go gila?? Making the palace look more "islamic" does not make Malaysia a better country: It is the actions of the King, government and people that make a country, not the Arabic symbol of a palace. Local Malay architecture can create a way more beautiful palace here, and if you don't acknowledge that, then perhaps you don't recognise your own heritage. To me (and many other forumers), this Duta palace is just plain ugly.

There is nothing wrong with me and like I've said, there are complains about you already. I do not need your explanation as your attitude in this forum speaks plenty and loudly already. You wanna stay in this forum then behave. Or out you go.

Anyway this had nothing to do with Vince as your silly arguments in the MAS thread too speak volumes about your character. And if you got time, go search all your 40 over posts. 90% of em are filled with anger, ignorance and they are provocative.

And you know a lot about Malay architecture then? Show me a Malay traditional house, anywhere in Malaysia, or in historical photo, that sports a dome, or has a structure that looks like this ugly Duta palace, and I bet you can't. The ones you can show me would all be from India and the middle east.

I have as much right to criticise this structure as you have to praise it. To me, it just doesn't fit the neighbourhood of the highrise community of Mont Kiara.

I wonder who teaches this guy that it is WRONG to give negative comments. Is this what school teaches students these days?

Sir imnew, FYI, the Japanese and Nazis lost World War 2, and the communists did not win during the Malayan Emergency ok?
