definately the right thinking by not installing the gravity ride there. I'd never ever go on a graity ride that high, not even in my next life.

Hello!

My name is Krzysztof. As I'm a new user I'd like to greet everyone I have a question relating to updating Guangzhou TV tower height on wikipedia. One year ago I created an article containing a list of tallest freestanding structures: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...s_in_the_world. We all know that the current height of Guangzhou TV tower is about 520 m. But it would be nice to give any source when updating the tower height in the article. Is there any official tower height source on the internet? Or maybe can I give a link to this forum as a reliable source? Thanks in advance.

I doubt u'll find any site that gives a frequent update about heights and stuff, except for forums. We as SSC are the first to know heights, status, dates etc.
I wouldn't even bother updating Wiki. Anyone with brains and who wants to know about skyscraper come here.

Guangzhou will become a mega well-known city. Just a 700m scraper isn't going to to it anyways. Guangzhou is developing in many areas and perhaps in a few years time they'll break-ground for a 700m+

If the spire gets much longer it wont look that good anyways. But trust me, everyone is going to know Guangzhou in a few years time cus in my opinion the future of the pearl-rier delta is very, very bright!!

dont worry, the scaffolding around the spire will definately be gone when the tower finishes.

I think more people know the name 'Canton' than 'Guangzhou', which has much longer history, and it's also the place where Cantonese originate from.
