No that is why i was hoping it was 628 6+2+8 multiple of 8 and also ends with 8 and for us skyscraper buffs is clearly much taller than 611

lol anyway I think what they should do is .Align Light bulbs along the steel rims that curve and twist from bottom to top. So during night you will just the guangzhou tower which looks dazzling (same thign is done even with the eiffel tower)

The spire is really ugly. What are all the sticks sticking out of the platforms. To put flags on or something? or is it for the birds to sit on and sh*t on the visitors below them.

It is at a height of 500 mts .Nobody is going to be able to see the spire in such detail .Most spires actually look like this upclose .It is going to look good the way it was meant to be

Yeah, it looks pretty good. Im quite surprised that the spire doesn't as long as people were saying before. I was hoping that the whole spire would have had the white bars wrapped around it, but then i realised that many TV towers have to have that red and white part

it actually seems to me like it has gotten taller, but i probably havent been paying close enough attention

that most recent picture really brings out the towers desperate need for a cleaning.

would've been perfect if the top half of the tower was continuation of the white tubing.

China has these never ending lines of ugly looking 5 to 10 storey residential complexes that were built in the 90's . They are just horrible to look at .They just single handedly destroy the entire view of the city . These never ending ugly complexes are found everywhere in from Beijing to guangzhou somebody please blow them apart.
