I don't see anything wrong with the antenna. Infact, I think the pattern give the tower character.

I like it. And I think if the antenna wasn't looking like that, then the tower would become dull.

great updates guys, 610m it is. do you think the 618m height= sea level height?
another thing to remember, is the antenna is actually 165m. it rises from the roof at 445m. thus 610m-445m=165m
the rim of the main frame rises to 454m so the antenna definatley starts well below that.
anyway ill post a detailed diagrsm'

pod ride, hmm.

does the spire section between 550m and 525m have different thickness of tubes to the tubes on the rest of the structure?

but from the file, 1、电视塔天线桅杆组装高度(453.83米)和安装高度(610.00米), it rises from the height of 453.83m, and it also stated the antenna is 156.2m which weighs 2000 tons

maybe they just said that.
as you can see the slopped rim is higher then the base of antenna.so its obvious that is starts nealry 10m below this.

someone from skyscrapers.cn revealed that the final height is 610.8m instead of 618.8m was because of the intervention of Aviation Bureau and naval

Are those observation pods circling around the top? I don't remember seeing anything about those.

lol 8m, that's nothing to a plane, but a lot to us skyscraper freaks. I wish they'd make it 618.8m, but even we won't be able to tell the difference from the ground.

jonvision-the pods were added to design due to space shot ride being dumped from design.

610.8 still makes it 20cm higher than the Sky Tree, heh.
