The real constuction is really different to the rendering we saw before.

i think he means the renders on the first few pages
they look quite unrealistic

Looking at the tower I have a weird idea: why don't they fill in the tower with all concrete and make it a real skyscraper instead of a TV tower? There's not much space on each floor but the view must be gorgeous!

Looks like a Sunsilk bottle.

Iconic, ok.

Tall, ok.

Sturdy, uhm,.... ok.

Design, crazy!

Are they using a new construction strategy or approach in building this tower? Or does the tower have a core at the center and only its skin is creating that twisting illusion?

Yeah obviously, the render is only for attraction purposes. Like when celebs in the magazines are edited in their faces and eliminate spots and lumps and etc... In renders they eliminate the cloud, smog, pollution and make the clouds bluer and contradict the real life view of the tower.

Cul, why do you have the height at 618 m in your diagram? Is that for sure?
Shouldnīt it be at 610 m or am I missing something?

they increased the height to 618m

But I guess as soon as the external ribbing is complete, the spire work will begin before the rooftop (lid) of the tower covers.

Is the outer steel skin connected to the core in any way?

no the outer skin is just standing up by itself with no connections, LOL

It is and I think its connected to the habitable floor cells if you know what I mean, you may be able to see from this photo right at the bottom.
