basically the renders are correct.

From ground level nearby the tower is designed to appear tall and slim, but from far its 'shorter' and bulkier:

Actually its not entirely true.

The bird eye view of the tower is oval, therefore looking at it from every angle, the width of the tower will change. Its from what angle you look at it that it varies in width not the distance (obviously). It can look really thin and taller compared to really thick and shorter depending on the angle you look at the tower from.

the middle is like an egg, so if u twist the tower 90 degrees ull get a completely different thinkness in the middle

bottom levels will be occupied by Guangzhou TV station. it also serves as ob-deck, TV broadcasting and landmark.

the frame has reached core height of 440m.
the frame is lop sided at the top.it will slope from 440m-454m. so still has apprx 15m to go at one end.
