A really unique, lovely and remarkable building, IMO.
I hope the spire turns out sleeker than the one we are being shown in that last rendering. It wouldn't do the elegance of the building justice.
This is one building I'd really like to see in person. That rooftop deck/amphitheater would be stunning to visit.

A great addition to world towers. At first I was thinking of it as being in the line of the Eiffel, Tokyo, CN and Ostankino towers - but now I think it might be more than that. The off center, multiply-spiralling 'weave' structure, the blurring of interior and external volume and the shape - not really seen in the West - give it the air of a new 'type' of tower to me. Or at least an update of existing norms. It certainly is impressive.

wont the spire be more smooth and have no bumps like the render shows ,to allow the fairground ride to work at the top ?

super impressive, im astonished its almost complete! the only one thing that would of made me like this tower better is if the tubing was a dark/silver matte colour that would of been really nice

I knew the new spire design had to come out, the previous ones shos anwed CN tower like spires which would've been too thin for gravity ride

I'm not even entirely sure if this ride is technically called 'gravity ride'. But it looks like this:

but imagine this 500m in the air (see this tower in Culwalla's new diagram: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3259/...a8d3bcc5_o.jpg)

you'll get a lot of this but x9.7 worse.

Good thing they are not just poking a stick as the spire (like a lot of buildings do......). This may also be the brother of the turning torso!
