Yeah it's the new bridge over the Amsterdam-Rhine channel near the A1/A9 intersection. I drove over it last night, looks nice! Wonder if it's wide enough for the new A1 though.

Glad I was in Poland on the 1st of july, wouldn't have liked to be stuck because of that bus crash. Traffic in Poland is not that free flowing either... Those buses were not paying attention or tailgating...

This is slightly off-topic but I figured if anyone knows, it'll be you guys. Does anyone know where I can buy license plate holders for American sized plates? Halfords and similar stores don't have them (god knows why, they sell all sorts of crap). Any suggestions?

American sized plates or Model 18.2?
There is a quite a big difference:

A chain like Brezan will indeed probably stock both, or you could try Ebay.

Didn't know about that difference! I think I'll need American sized, I ordered old second hand American plates online but I don't have any holders for them. I'll properly measure them up before ordering anything now, thanks for the heads up!

Will check Brezan, thanks to you both!

You could also nail them directly to your wall.

Anyways, you can try buying them on-line from USA-based auto parts companies.

One is:
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com then click on 'Accessories' and then choose 'License Plates & Frames' from the list on the left. Expect to spend about USA$8-15 plus shipping per frame.

There are other auto parts companies on line, too.

Good luck!

I understand that North American license plate collecting is very popular among Europeans - there seems to be an endless supply of different and very colorful, interesting designs in circulation.

Oh they're not going on my wall, that's the point. I'm gonna use 'm on my bicycle and I have friends with American cars who sometimes go to display shows with 'm so it would be cool to attach some real American plates to them on those events etc. Basically it would be handy to have some lying around.

And yeah US plates wipe the floor with European ones. Ours are dull. And huge.

Thanks for the link!

Havoc around Rotterdam, three trucks crashed on A20, and several cars on A15.

The A15 has 25km backup inbound, the A16 30km

If it matters if I were in a train? This morning it did. Otherwise I would have been in a large jam

No, does it matter, if you were in that exact train?

You seemed to ask me which train I was in. I edited my message in case you meant the pictures.

Timon, you're so complicated, you should've just said "no, it doesn't matter". In which case don't use "the" next time.[/English geek ]
