what is the reason?

Do G/D truckers stop at RSFs earlier while their EUian buddies go to the border?

Is there enough RSF capacity for truckers in the border zone at all?

I don't understand why they don't drive on. Today they can still drive in Germany, but many park their trucks in NL on the A1. Why don't drive on and park your truck somewhere in Germany?
Furthermore, since the A1 is not the only motorway leading to Germany, aren't there any problems on other busy roads, like the A67 and the A12? The A67 also has a lot of trucks.

This was not a fixed speed trap, but some police hiding in the bushes or behind a sign. The guy saw that, and braked too fast with his front brakes, and fell on the street.

The problem is that all parkings from Amsterdam and eastward are already full during wednesday and thursday. There isn't much option but to drive on, since trucks are not allowed to park near urban area's in most municipalities. The A1 carries by far the most traffic that has no option to stop (read: Polish/Russian/Ukrainian trucks). The truck AADT is nearly 20,000 which is extremely high. It takes the same capacity as 50,000 cars. Ofcourse, not al 20,000 trucks line up at the border, since otherwise that line would be 180km long. It's mostly like 5 - 10% of that, which is still a 9 - 18km long line of trucks.

Ok, but what happens on the A67 then? Quite a lot of trucks over there.

Maybe there's enough parking space over there? Usually, the A1 border crossing was the main problem for truck traffic, but on certain German holidays which aren't Dutch holidays, other border crossings can be problematic too.

When I saw this pic I immediately thought of the truck queues at the Polish-Ukrianian border.
Btw: how long is this queue of the Estonian video?

The traffic information hasn't report anything yet at the German border. I doubt if i should go, i don't want to waste 200 kilometers of fuel.

The ANWB expects a lot of traffic coming from Germany on the A1 and A12 this afternoon. So Chris, you can go and do some "dutch driving"

Are there any new plans about the missing A4 part between Delft and Rotterdam? I think I saw something recently in a newspaper, but I'm not sure.

I thought the minister wanted to fill up all the gaps in the A4, but that can take ages before construction actually starts

There are 3 gaps in the A4, currently. And due to environmentalists, nimbys, politicians and action groups everything goes slow in the Netherlands.

They are talking about it for 40 years. Actually the roadbed was constructed in 1967. Today, it still exists.

And other parts of the A4 do exist, but are signed as A17 and A29.

Yup, and they are "Rijksweg 4", administratively.
