It's called the 'Eco-aquaduct Zweth'.

It is interesting how the tarmac looks almost like the same as the water in that pic.

A4 Schiphol / Amsterdam

The A4 leading into Amsterdam from Schiphol Airport. Visible are the construction works for the new A9 alignment around the town of Badhoevedorp.

A recent photo from Twitter of the new A9 motorway bridge across the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal, with the A1 bridge in the background.

A mobile speed check setup caused a 23 kilometer traffic jam today on A27 near Lexmond...

While A27 is usually congested during rush hour, it's usually not that bad unless there is a major accident. Or speed check.

I think many drivers don't know, or somehow ignore the fact the 100 km/h speed limit on A2 is often only from 6h-19h. Many stick to 100 late at night as well.

People obeying the rules = traffic chaos

Can there be a better argument for more reasonable rules? Oh my god

Well, if it works like in Italy, after detecting a speed check the average driver will turn from 20 above the limit to 20 UNDER the limit (==> complete mess), while actually sticking to the rules will create no havoc.

Well, sir, there's nothing on earth like a genuine, bona fide, electrified, six-car monorail!

Due to Photobucket f*cking up, most images won't be visibile in my old posts. If you need anything specific, please write me.

Sluiskil Tunnel should be opened next week. Is this info still up-to-date?

What's about the remaining section Terneuzen - Belgian border. Have works already been started?

I couldn't check the project page because the link does not work anymore .

The 23rd of May as posted by Chris is still accurate according to the projectpage.

Preliminary works have started (moving cables and such), but there isn't even a contractor for the main project itself yet. (also according to the projectpage)

We haven't heard otherwise. It's still planned to open 23 May.

It will start in 2016. It should be completed by 2018.

Thanks to governments who change their website, making all URLs useless.

Here's a new project site for the Tractaatweg section of N62 to the Belgian border: https://www.zeeland.nl/verkeer-en-op...ractaatweg-n62

N307 Kampen - Lelystad

I filmed the entire route of provincial road N307 today. It runs from Kampen to Lelystad, mostly in Flevoland province. It is planned with an 'ultimate' configuration of four lanes, controlled access and a 100 km/h speed limit. However, that seems decades away.

A new alignment was completed in 2012 between Dronten and Lelystad (second half of the video). It was built with a future layout with 4 lanes in mind, it has one passing lane in each direction near the Swifterbant exit.

Future plans call for a taller bridge at the Roggebot Sluice (provincial border, first minute in the video). Construction of that has been sped up (it was originally planned for 2025) and may begin in a few years.
