The OFC have already backed Australia's bid for the 2018.

It's likely Australia will also get the 4 votes from the AFC and Italy have also said they'll back our bid for 2018.

The truth is that Mexico won't get the World Cup anytime soon, and sure as hell won't get the WC a third time before USA gets it a 2nd time.

How I see it:

2010- South Africa
2014- Brazil
2018- England (lock)
2022- USA (lock)
2026- China/Australia (depends on how the olympics unfold in Beijing)
2030- Spain/Russia (going back to Europe no doubt)
2034- Mexico/Argentina (either the americas or africa)
2038- Australia/China (no europe, no americas, leaves only asia)
2042- World War IV

I would really like to see a WC in Russia, but they have a lot of work to do.

Last week the FA’s recently installed chairman, Lord Triesman, was a no show at the FIFA Congress. You can guess how that went down with the FIFA top brass.
From what I understand he was undergoing an operation. If that's not a good enough excuse, I don't know what is!

Where is World War 3? Perhaps do you believe that Iraqi Invation of USA is World War 3?

World War III will be in 2031, lasting only two years, but leaving most of the world in ruins due to the use of nuclear weapons.

Mexico survived the war unscathed and as such, will be the perfect candidate for the world cup, a much needed event in order to usher in "world unity."

North/Central America will back England in return for England backing them in 2022.
Europe have already declared a desire to back a single European contender. So, assuming that's England, that's more votes tied up.
South America will back a Euro candidate because they have a 'special relationship' ever since getting help over the 1/2 spot for 2006.

That leaves Africa, Asia and Oceana.

Africa will do pretty much whatever Blatter tells them to.

That leaves Asia and Oceana.

The middle eastern element of Asia are only interested in their local television revenues, so they'll back a Euro nation for the better viewing times.

So Australia can 'count' on the backing of the OFC and some of the AFC.

Italy voting for Australia is a worry, perhaps we'll see European nations voting for a non European nation so that they'll get a chance in 4/8 years time for themselves rather then waiting 12/16 years.

I doubt that will be worst in England than in Brazil 2014...seriously, if in the Panam Games 2007 in sports like artistic gymnastic which are not traditional here athletes of other countries received a hostile treatment from the crowd, I can imagine what will happen in the world cup where many Brazilians treat the national team as the heart, soul and symbol of the Brazilian people - I can see a hard time for some teams, specially Argentina .

If there was a World War 3, Oz would probably be about the only place left on earth due to our isolation. The A-League would be the biggest league on the planet!

The names of the FIFA executive member who will decide the host nation for the 2018 FIFA world cup - so far it is looking good for England I would say.

Franz Beckenbauer is playing for England in their 2018 team. No-one beats Beckenbauer he will do anything to ensure that England wins.
