I was reading a week or so ago on World Football Insider that at the FIFA Congress a bit of argy bargy occurred.

Apparently a UEFA ex-co member got sick of the toading of a non-EU bidder to Blatter, and let him have it. In the end he apparently said he would do what he could to make sure no UEFA ex-co member voted for their bid.

Realize all eyes are on 2010 right now, but did anyone hear anything further on this?

Hmm, yeah, see what you mean. The other logos look like they've been designed by graphic designers, this one looks like it was designed by a 5 year old armed with some fingerpaints.

I don't see where the logos of Netherlands-Belgium, South Korea and especially the USA are any more professional... They were all graphically designed, but Spain-Portugal's brushed strokes give it a more human, manually crafted look, that's why.
