It's clearly obvious, it;s a lopsided bid that Portugal is dragging down. They've effectively killed it for the Spanish side. The Spanish should have bid alone or demanded more stadiums and cities from Portugal.

I think the current financial concerns that seem to surround the 2 Iberian countries really are more of an issue than anything. The bid is fine as is, with the right mix of venues in each country, so I dout that tthe bid is hamstrung by that.

What right mix of venues? Portugal proposes 3 in 2 cities! Sure if the region were cut directly in half there's a good mix, but it doesn't seem right.

Spain nor Europe for that matter can't bid for 2026 in the current rotation policy, assuming they win 2018 of course, which they will.

The Daily Mail and that incompetent bloke who we put in charge of the bid harmed England's bid, to be more accurate.
Whilst we seem to have coped with it well, it seems to have helped Russia and Spain if anything, don't know why you're complaining.

Well, England had a foresight and......
America did unearth Russian Spies recently.

This is one first time England has not followed America, but lead them.

Triesman's claims were not at all true, FIFA proved this. Now take a lesson in world politics.

A list (not mine) of potential stadia that could be used for the world cup:

If the new Liverpool stadium is built then of course Anfield will be removed from this list... I expect that only 12 will make the final bid book. Sorry about the size:
