This post should have a warning sign on it as reading it will either make you shit yourself laughing, spend days staring at your screen trying to figure out what it says and it will definatly decrease your average IQ.

They werent in the AFC then though were they, you achieved a good deal to qualify for 2010 aswell beating the Japanese. What did Japan achieve to qualify though? finished ahead of Bahrain, Quatar and the Uzbeks, compair that to say Russia who went out on away goals in a playoff and the Japanese clearly got an easier route.

I'v nothing agenst the AFC or CONCACAF getting more spots if they deserve it, right now though I think Blatters has given them too many spots under the guise of growing the game when infact he's doing so to gain power within FIFA. In reality there are many countries in eastern Europe and South America that present just as much if not more potential for growth but giving them an easier route doesnt suit the political/finanical ends of those at the top of FIFA.

Yeah Australia were in Oceania, which probably further stamps the point. New Zealand are also planning on joining the Asian Confederation. 75% of the world's population resides in Asia, so I don't know what kind of growth you're talking about but clearly it can't be anything in the real world. Football has well and truly developed in Europe and South America. Asia is football's growth zone and that is exactly why Asia will get more spots in future world cups, to reflect the population demographics of the world. Asia's football is also coming up in leaps and bounds to reflect the demographics of the region.

If the AFC wants more spots, that's ok, but don't take them from other confederations. Make the world cup with more teams and problem solved.

I'd love to see the world cup in Russia, but in the end I think England will get it.

Both terrific options

Infact any of the 4 UEFA bids would do a great job

They want to join, but wether it happens or not is another thing. If they did join the AFC, then that's the end of the OFC basically.

Oceania sucks! I never want to see New Zeland in a world cup again! Oceania's spot should be given to South America so we can see Ecuador in it.

why would they want to switch and lose their near auto-bid to the world cup?

If FIFA change the qualifying process again (highly possible) it might not be so easy for them. For example, playing off against the COMNEBOL 5th place side.
