Emporis now list Burj Dubai as 162 levels ,the 6 levels above 156 are also habitable!there offices if i can remember.
So highest habitable floor is 162 or tier 18./624m./2046ft.
great renders stephan!
That's what I thought, but then I thought you were saying 156 was the highest habitable floor, so I got confused. Thanks for the clarification.

but.. acording to your diagram this blding is a bit waste... burj duabi will have the roof just at 6XX m but AL BURJ will have a greater one.. so i think al burj will be more efective than BD if the 30 "inhabitable floors" are not used

Amazing renders and photos stephen. Thanks.

162 floors IMO is plenty. The building would not be what it is without the tapering all the way up.

2 bedroom, 96th floor ($1,688,287 US):

This one's for me. I like the idea of having a naked maid. Seeing as there's no cupboard space for the maid that's obviously how it must work.

Maid, bend over and pick up my pen.

edit: also its gonna be quite humbling to know you are on one of the heighest observation platforms in the world, and ONLY half way up the building
They could make a two or three story observation deck. As buildings like the CN Tower have shown, a great view is something people will pay a fair bit for, and the higher the view, the more they will they will pay.

91 floors it's amazing.
I like the plans of the apartments. The apartments are awsome, and very huge.

What makes the levels above this floor unhabitable?

I guess they could use the concept that is something similar to the one being used at the CN Tower - there is one main observation deck, for which the fee is the standard (normal), and then there is a 2nd observation deck, some 90metres above the 1st; The 2nd deck is much much smaller than the 1st & unable to hold as many people; For this reason, you have to pay extra $$$ to get up there, and it is much more expensive, hence limiting the number of visitors.

I think something like this could work out for Burj Dubai - it works for the CN Tower - and I'm sure there are many people who would spend some extra cash, in order to go a few metres higher.
