You can now see this on the news when they have a reporter doing one of those financial stories.

It seems like they have 24 floors to go so that suggests that this should peak sometime around the 13th Feb. The City will look like a proper CBD by then.

Let's hope the Pinnacle will be rising too. And the Walkie.

Finally have someone from 99 bishopsgate. Amazing place to see both the heron tower and bishopsgate tower grow.

Stunning shots as always Gaz, you always seem to be able to get the best out of whatever buildings you capture.

The first picture makes the cladding look very good but in closer shots...I'm not convinced, hopefully it's just because I'm not seeing it in the full complextion, I always have trouble identifying what cladding is quality or not when it's only part way up a building. It will be interesting to see how the two different cladding styles suit this elegant 'raper.

I really like the cladding for once a tower thats not being covered in a blue/ green colour...it almost looks clear the glass? difficult to tell in the pics though but i'm impressed so far.

Amazing pics gaz! Does anyone know if Bishopsgate City of London Police Station (the shabby white building) and the balck building next door will be replaced at some point?

looming above the churchyard, nice contrast of green leaves and white steel.

now progress on the cladding since gazkinz on Weds, but looks a bit ominously grey.......

the stairwell sheathed in green and the glass starting to go up it

from Bishopsgate

Hopefully with something at the same roof level if they ever do as far as Im concerned. I like the character of pretty much everything left of Heron (as youre looking from Liv St) just as is...... Swedeland Ct, Catherine Wheel Alley, Dirty Dicks, drunken grub from the Polo cafe!

You han now see Heron from the Overland between Caledonian Road & Barnsbury and Camden Rd stations as well as the junction of Islington High St & Pentonville Rd (outside the Co-op bank).

That was my concern when I saw one of GazKinz pics, just looked a tad dull and non-descript...but hopefully it will turn out better once the whole tower has been covered. Great pics btw.

I'll get some photos of this over the next few days when the sun comes out as can see it from my office on the South Bank. Took one hell of a while to get to construction phase but now it is actually under construction it is growing amazingly quickly.. hats off to Heron and Skanska.

Lets hope the cladding, finish and night lighting lives up to the renderings as the City even with just a troika of towers will look impressive. 122 Leadenhall and the Pinnacle will be the icing on the cake when they are eventually built.

Sigh! Wish people would stop coming out with comments like 'I can't wait till its finished'. Its the Forum equivalent of 'Are we there yet'. Frankly - we **all** can't wait. Its a given. And the reason why we are all on this website in the first place ;0/
