I think they reuse the xmas ligthing & the flower balls.. they just change the flowers from the flower balls from xmas flower to this mu dan flower... haha.. well see carefully... I am sure they reuse it..lol

Just In Time for them to wear for the Chinese New Year.

　　牛车水农历新年筹委会委任的设计公司为了一改以往红彤彤的新年装饰，今年特地选用粉红色布条，作为桥南路的主要装饰。

　　不过，设计者的创意显然得不到公众的青睐，反而引起诸多的批评和抱怨。

　　有人觉得整个设计像个大型晒衣场，更有人毫不客气直指它像丽春院（武侠小说《鹿鼎记》里的妓院）的姑娘在晒内衣裤，走在下面很不吉利。

　　牛车水农历新年筹委会发言人受询时说，粉红挂布其实只是整体设计的一部分，工作人员原本就要把红色网布和新春贺词挂上，但最近连续几天下雨，装置工作只好暂停。

　　她说，前晚连夜取下粉红挂布是为了尊重大家的意见。“我们没想到大家只看到一部分的设计，就提出这么多的批评。既然多数人都不喜欢，我们干脆拿下。过年嘛，我们也希望大家高高兴兴的。”

　　粉红布条原本高高挂在海山街和麦士威熟食中心之间，长达150公尺。发言人说，由于布条是整体设计的一部分，因此很难估计它的价格。她说，筹委会现在还没有想到这些布条还可作为什么用途。

The decorations along South Bridge Road have been replaced with new ones. There are small flashing lights and it looks quite nice as well, with a simple "Xin Nian Kuai Le" greeting across the road.
