I don't think so. I think it will be externally finished by late summer/early autumn this year. The interior fit out will surely extend into 2009 but certainly not 2011 or even 2010. I know the published schedule lasted until 2010 but I think it's been accelerated.

wow there are so many thin and tall residential buildings in kowloon!! i thought hk was unique at this but kowloon buildings are much more slender! such tiny plots. like nowhere else on earth.

the main reason why they decided to complete the building in 2 stages was to do with office demand. back then when the building was proposed, it was at the time of economic downturn and they never really expected that the tower would be of such a demand - now i think it's a bit too late to speed up the construction as all the prefabricated bits will take time to be finished before going on site.

I'm wondering the same. The 1200m tall Bionic Tower is still a vision only, and the proposed Shenzhen Square will only have about 206m. So when One Island East and ICC will be finished, there might be no new supertalls going up in Hongkong for quite a while.

Or are there any other new projects in the pipeline?

Edit: but maybe we're too gready, calling for more big ones... reckoning fatshe's newest pics, I'll enjoy the present development of ICC instead.
