nice pic.

slightly off topic:

the blue crane is building a new temporary art gallery designed by Zaha Hadid. It's being constructed on top of the old star ferry car park.

check it out: www.chanel-mobileart.com

Hadid also has another building planned for hong kong. The 'innovation tower' will be a new home for Hong Kong PolyU school of design.

So how many storeys does this building ACTUALLY have? I read that it is skipping everything ending with -4 (which means twelve fewer floors), but is keeping 40-43,45-49. I take it then 118 floors is actually 106? Can anyone confirm this?

In the end it will have "only" 106. I put that in quotes because aside from the monstrous Burj and Chicago Spire no other building will have or currently has as many floors. Therefore 106 is still a very big deal.

The Sears Tower has 108 floors (sometimes reported as 110).
How quickly we forget former champions!

can you get us a pic showing all the floors? skyscrapernews.com is interested in doing a piece on this as it's such a historic event (one that seems to have gone largely unnoticed). we would like to publish the picture, and full credit would be given to you.

here's an example of one of our pieces- http://www.skyscrapernews.com/news.php?ref=1364

Thanks for the update. Number 100 on top of an U/C skyscraper is unbelievably beautiful.
