thats because the tower will be opened in phases.
up to lev50 will be open 4th quarter 08.(current cladded section)
up to lev80 will open 2nd quarter 09.

sorry guys, i misread plans. i thought 101 was 417m.
but i forgot about the confusing numbering of floors for ICC.
so i drew up a (top section) plan from original plans to show just how confusing it is.
i think 101 is 398m. there seems to be another 4 more floors until it reaches 102. lol
This diagram shows hotel section with centre void.
ill try to update m0nthly

How many levels does the building have if you add the mech and refuge floors to the "normal" floors ?

theres a total of 107 floors including plant/mech floors above actual ground.
thus current 101st floor is 87 above grd.

Thank you so much for the informations and the diagram Cul!
It seems that the structure of the hotel section is very complicated.....And try to imagine how much effort it would take to transport all of the luxurious furnitures onto the tower!

Once ICC is fully cladded, it will look way taller than it does now.

Gotta love the dragon-tail entrance...I just can't imagine what it will be like to enter the building and look up to see it through the glass.
