yes!!! together they look great! and it's a bit like the whole of HK, most of the buildings isn't that good, but together the place is amazing! there is tones of these bland concrete residential buildings and among them there are exceptional buildings, and the mix ... well it is the most beautiful city in the world!

yes i suspect there will be a smaller extension of the core the rest of the way, unless they anticipate hotel guests to take the stairs the rest of the 15 floors or so. which of course is ludicrous

my bad, I got mixed up with the west tower (3 smaller cores), but ICC probaly would have some form of core going all the way to the top. Otherwise the visitors may find it disconforting to climb up the ladder to get to their hotel rooms...

Lift shafts for sure...no clue what they will look like, though. Also, they won't be in the middle as the original structural core was, since it needs an open central atrium.

My guess is that the lift shafts will continue up from the outer edges of the concrete core. It sounds like a 20-storey steel-framed building sitting atop a 100-storey concrete-core/outer megacolumn structure.

If the lift shafts are made of steel they might not be really recognizable as a core in the steel structure.

does anyone know if the ICC has exceeded the IFC yet in construction. from the recent photos. look like the ICC and IFC are on par height.

Being in Hong Kong, a zone hit by typhoons regularly, it must have.
