Those google earth pics are impressive. I can't wait for Google Street View to become active for HK.

So you mean tallest building under construction but not yet topped out?
No. Freedom Tower, that building in Mecca, Federation Tower, Tokyo Sky Tree, etc.. Just have a scan of the supertalls section to answer your own question surely

Oh sorry, I think I misunderstood, you mean at it's actual current height, not proposed height. I reckon so, although I'm not sure if Guangzhou TV Tower is now taller (or if you count it as a building or freestanding structure). Hope that helps?

I guess the height is calculated up to the ceiling of the last floor (which is probably at 484m). I think external parapets don't count. I marked it on the plan. The "main roof" is at 479.73 meters.

SHKP's Kowloon Station The Cullinan Project to have HK's first exclusive residential enclaves offering privacy to residents

5 February 2009

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) proudly revealed the names and descriptions of the seven residential enclaves at The Cullinan today (February 5). These unique features and first-class design are just two aspects of Hong Kong's tallest residence.

Sun Hung Kai Real Estate Agency Executive Director Victor Lui said: "The Cullinan is SHKP's premier luxurious development. We designed The Cullinan with seven individual enclaves to highlight the prestige and privacy of residents, a feature that is unique in Hong Kong. The cost of this design was twice as much as normal, using over 100,000 square feet of deluxe marble in the Diamond lobby, seven enclaves and Sky Garden Plaza, but we want to provide residents with homes that offer exceptional privacy and innovative designs."

Sun Hung Kai Real Estate Agency Senior Sales & Marketing Manager Andy Chan said: "The residential enclaves in The Cullinan are named after natural elements, and the unified 'Sky' theme denotes the tallest integrated residence in Hong Kong. These appellations manifest the diamond-like status residents of The Cullinan can enjoy. Sumptuous individual entrance lobbies, each elegantly decorated to match with the unique names, provide exclusive access."

The Cullinan enclaves are named Sun Sky, Moon Sky, Royal Sky, Star Sky, and Aster Sky in Cullinan I, and Diamond Sky and Ocean Sky in Cullinan II. Advanced smart-card technology will identify residents of particular enclaves in the entrance lobbies, which will have high-speed elevators that travel twice as fast as normal at a top speed of six meters per second. Elevators and lobbies will be air conditioned for residents' comfort.

Champagne and beige colours will set the harmonious mood for The Cullinan's entrance lobbies. Prestige elements have been incorporated into the design, including crystal chandeliers, rare beige marble, Italian furniture, European artifacts and floral compositions. To further highlight the individuality of the enclaves, each lobby will be graced with a unique diamond-cut chandelier custom-made in Europe fashioned out of champagne-colored crystals. In addition, each lobby will also feature a reception area with a wall of rare translucent onyx; introduced to Hong Kong for the first time.

A semi-open waterfront Sky Garden Plaza of 30,000 square feet will connect Cullinan I and Cullinan II. This relaxing space will be enlivened by a water fountain, distinctive art features and a domed ceiling fitted with crystals and LED lights that glow like stars in a night sky. The floor will have three types of marble echoing the touches that adorn the exclusive lobbies. Residents will also be able to access the Elements mall and Kowloon Station through the observation elevators at the podium Diamond Lobby.

About The Cullinan

The two 270-meter towers of The Cullinan will soon be the tallest residence in Hong Kong. The project includes 825 units, with typical units ranging from 900 to 2,300 square feet. There are two 'Jewel of the Crown' penthouses on the 91st to 93rd floors that cover more than 4,000 square feet with six bedrooms including three or four en suites, private pools and roof gardens.

The Cullinan will offer open views of the harbour with its prime waterfront site and glass curtain walls. The avant-garde glass facade echoes the nearby International Commerce Centre and the overall design of the Kowloon Station development.

Well, I've upgraded the title. Hope that height isn't height above the sea level or something.

The Cullinan buildings sound like they're fantastic inside.. those penthouses sound increadible
I think they look so much better with ICC, and as modern buildings in general, than the other towers around Union Square which are so much messier. The glass cladding is vastly superior here in my opinion

Jesus Christ those penthouses are stunning.

Makes the whole thing in the Burj Dubai thread look like complete and utter shit (the Burj Al Arab hotel suites).
