mmm

i have a feeling its simply just a massive void.

the reason im guessing is because the towers were originally designated as office/service apartments/hotel and now it becomes all residential/hotel but they have to keep the footprint and the shape of the building which results in the huge void in the middle. at the same time - it increases the frontage hugely to maximize profit as well but certainly it is very odd.

I love this building, hands down one of the greatest buildings ever built.

By its completion next year, the ICC’s environmental standards will have been benchmarked against the best US and European buildings. It has an estimated 100 advanced green features, even as construction continues on the upper floors.

Was HongKong encased in fog yesterday? When I was watching the news yesterday, I can only see the safety nets and a bit of the core of the ICC! I can't see anything else other than a few (like 3) more buildings and some water in the foreground.

Ritz Carlton will operate the hotel section at the top of ICC. They closed their previous hotel at Central last year and that building is being demolished.
