I counted, and wondered why there were eight. Thought I miscounted one.

Thanks.

How lovely. The low-lying clouds (maybe a combination of rain clouds and smog) put a thrilling effect to ICC.

Hong Kong's skyline may someday be the place for Hollywood to screen catastrophic films like meteor bombardments, super-large tsunamis, birth of a volcano, etc. :p

Hollywood's too stupid to ever figure out that there are more cities in the world than New York and LA.

There is as much, if not more, money in Tokyo and London as there is in New York and Los Angeles. Yet you don't see these two cities being cast as often.

Yup, that argument's nonsensical. Also, what does how much money have to do with a movie's setting?

And people tend to forget that Hollywood is American cinema, not international cinema. So of course its movies are predominantly set in American cities. Hollywood may sell its movies to the world, but if you think it represents anything more than an American view of the world, you, my friend, have watched too many movies.

Tokyo and New York are the two richest cities in the world by GDP (tokyo is just barely ahead of New York, and they're both miles ahead of the next richest city, Los Angeles).

They don't film in Hong Kong coz it is neither cheap nor easy. The amount of inconvenience it causes is staggering. Why come over when they can merge a couple of generic Asian cities together w/ a computer like that did in Fantastic4 2 the silver surfer one?

Money and convenience didn't stop "The Dark Knight" from filming in HK. I always love watching a movie set in a major city and picking out the skyscrapers.

haha this statement is so ignorant, really more money in london than NYC? how stupid do you sound saying that? let me answer: extremely stupid, NYC is the financial capital of the world, more billionaires live in NYC than any other city (now that moscow is gone), NYC has more skyscrapers than any other city, comparable to hong kong

and where is Hollywood? United States, people dont want to see a movie with people speaking chinese in hong kong, or japanese in Tokyo, we want to see people we relate to, and the movies that we dont need people to relate to such as action movies, almost always contain one scene in another country, look at bourne, or taken both in other countries, just as Indians make movies in India, and Chinese make movies in China

backupcoolm4n, that was an exceptionally ironic post. I wasn't aware that Moscow was "gone." That's too bad- I really wanted to visit someday.

Anyway,

Aboveday, those latest shots you posted are absolutely gorgeous! I like the way most of the shots were set up, and it looks like it was a really clear day, to boot.

Also, does anyone know how soon the "flares" above the tower's base will be completed?

By GDP:

Tokyo + London = $1643 billion
New York + Los Angeles = $1772 billion

I can't believe that Hollywood-thingy caused so much stir here... to the point where posts became out-of-topic. Chill-out, people.

Those photos skybean catches us a glimpse of what will Hong Kong skyline looks like when ICC's completed. I have no leisure to go to Hong Kong by myself so I just indulge myself over many photo updates here.
