Ribarca, I'm referring to Harbourside. It always seems pitch black, like no-one lives there =) If only I could afford an apartment there... one day!

And 99% of that 400 are sea-view apartments.
I thought as much. Either the units are really poorly built/overpriced or the developer is sitting on them until the market gives them a substantial return.

Actually I think the second pic is a hot tub. The design of the railing is the same in each pic. I think it's on the same roof at least.

Google and thy shall find.

Hong Kong's setting is amazing indeed. As are some buildings. Individually I would say 99% of the buildings are really ugly to me. Overall they make a great city though.

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Hong Kong topped the chart of the world's most expensive office rentals in the world in 2008, despite a slip in average rents for prime office space, a report from Colliers International showed on Thursday.

The report said rents in Hong Kong's central business district fell 2.1 percent year-on-year to $178 per square feet by the end of 2008. In the first two months of this year prime office rents dropped another 16 percent and vacancies rose.

IMHO, I admit quite a few buildings in HK are plain, old or even shabby, but in my mind, it's definitely not as bad as what you described. But anyway, aesthetic is something very subjective.

Not for 'office' space. For commercial/retail space, it is.

Office space rental prices are dominated by the area around IFC, Exchange Square and the buildings owned by Hong Kong Land (Prince's Building, Gloucester Tower, Alexandra House, Chater House etc).

I know

I was hoping my explanation (in which I quoted your post earlier) would help him understand, but...

...it seems not. Try again

Maybe it's a 'her', so 'she' doesn't get it. Still, it's obvious.

Uaarkson, stop focusing on the details, like railing designs...

You should try to concentrate on the main thing!
