Bank of America/One Bryant Park seems to get ignored a lot. It's as if the building doesn't exist or something.

It's an awesome building but definitely not one of the tall ones... It's only NYC's top 10 coz of the antenna, just the the NYT Building :-/

NYC is not the only city which is "cheating" its way to the top. we have several buildings here in HK and shanghai which wouldn't be counted as supertalls without a spire. but yeah NYC is really forcing it in the last years (BofA, NYTT, conde nast, bloomberg etc.). it's the city of spires.

All right .. let's focus back on ICC. Anyone noticed the 'ICC' sign is now being installed on the harbour tunnel-facing side?

Nice! How come they are putting the name up. Does 2IFC have this? Never noticed it.

If you consider this big enough, IFC sits on a podium/mall that has a huge "ifc" logo on it.

Kowloon Station, Hong Kong. Unlike other railway stations, it provides check in service for flight passengers.

is there a rule preventing newly-constructed buildings built after 2008 such as the International Commerce Centre to join the "A Symphony of Lights" show?

While I absolutely love this building as it is, now that it is pretty much finished I cannot help to think that it would have looked better in the middle of a cluster/sea of skyscrapers (a la HK Island) rather than "on its own" (which it really isn't, but you get the point).

Well Kowloon is getting there. Since the height restrictions have been removed, it will surely become a sea of skyscrapers in the coming years as more redevelopment takes place.

finally a vantage point where the IFC seems a chunk smaller than the ICC. At regular ground level angles the IFC actually seems taller (due to its height:width ratio I believe).

It probably will be in a big cluster before too long. But in the meantime I love how IFC and ICC stand as a kind of colossal gateway to the harbour.
