Everything's nice except the hideous footbridge design (or the lack of). Wish something can be done to it to slightly boost its aesthetic appeal!

Have to agree with you!! The foot bridge is an eye sore. Why dont the do something about it to match the city.

Hi guys, I've been travelling for months and haven't been on here for bloody ages, and I must say it's always such a pleasure coming back to this thread... you're always guarantied to see such incredible photos of this fantastic building and city. Probably the best on SSC tbh. In particular I must say congratulations to Ribarca for that last picture, as to be honest mate, that is quite possibly the best urban/skyline photograph I've EVER seen, just utterly stunning! (I spose HK itself deserves some of the credit lol).

I was also just wondering if anyone knows if there is an opening date for the observation deck on ICC? I'll be in HK in about six weeks and would love to go up there, unfortunately I fear I may be in the city too early however if somebody in the know could confirm this I would much appreciate it, and obviously if it is open soon then that'd be amazing.

Thanks, and once again, nice one Ribarca

Ribarca - you are a God. Well worth getting up early for, that! I can see another SSC banner coming up for you soon (submit it!)

Sizeable. Got 2 or 3 floors, a good sized cinema, an ice rink. A bit bigger than Pacific Place I imagine.

However, as the first pic here seems to show, it does seem to be a bit of a 'white elephant'. You won't find many people at the mall despite the excellent cinema.

It's a bit 'out of the way' (as 'out of the way' as a place in central Hong Kong can be I suppose) and very upper-end stuff. This is fine, but there is a serious dearth of good cheapish eating options. To eat REALLY cheap (with the exception of a Fairwood takeaway), you have to take a mini-bus to Mong Kok or Yau Ma Tei. I don't like the eating options at Elements.

Might change when all the tenants move in and the hotel opens (and thus the guests arrive) I guess.

I, for one, wouldn't really go there for any particular reason. Most of the stuff there is available at Pacific Place or Central, which also has far better eating options (be it cheap [Admiralty, not Pacific Place] or high-end).

It does need mentioning though that Elements itself (and Pacific Place) has some superb high-end facades which often get omitted from the 'storefront' pics because they're inside the mall rather than out in Central or Harbour City/Canton Road.

Yes - I notice a few top levels have horizontal white neon bars lit up.
