It's a great place to live in but as is often the case it looks best on photos. Also because these images are from the summer which is the only part of the year quite free of smog.

^ That last shot from Chai Wan is quite awesome. I suspect it's from a helicopter, instead of a building.

This one is one of my favs :

Fairly high end - LV, Cartier etc. Cheapest places are some bookstores, Lacoste and Diesel (and a couple of others along those lines). Even the food outlets, with the exception of one Fairwood (a local take away type place) are to the upper side which surprised me because the area itself is sort of isolated from the rest of Hong Kong.

The problem being that you can't really go there on a 'cheap date'. They have a nice movie theatre, but to get some food you have to leave the place - and walking is not really an option unless you want to walk for 15-20 minutes.

There are some affordable dining options there for the 1XX range. It's not all high-end stuff anymore.

Didn't say the food was high end. I said it was to the upper side - there is practically nothing there under $100/person...as I said, it's not a place for a 'cheap date'.

Funnily enough, as it is, the restaurants there are nothing to write home about anyway! Haven't checked out the ones in the hotel yet, but the ones opened in Elements itself are pretty poor.

Hi! In my opinion, skyline shots are far more beautiful by night then at daytime. And it looks like all Hongkong people are living in highrise buildings. Seams like a Starwars planet...
