Also notice that ICC will got the Highest Office floor and Highest Hotel of East Asia.
I agree with you aside from the small detail of describing the Petronas Towers as the "world's tallest building". I never regarded it as a legitimate title holder. The Sears Tower was always the people's champion in terms of height. I think New York's former WTC was taller than Petronas too. However the Petronas Towers have a stunning design and are far more beautiful than Sears or the hideous Taipei 101.

The cladding looks stunning! And I wholeheartedly agree with your comments regarding the Sears tower, Petronas tower, and Taipei 101

China has many mega-cities which always compare and compete among themselves. SWFC has to be taller than ICC because the Shanghai city government is determined to eclipse HK and the easy way is to build something taller or grandiose. Competition will do no harm as long as it produces good result. SWFC and ICC may be a good example of benign competition.
That means that it would be a logical step for this building, as its built after SWFC, to get its height increased when its to late for Shanghai to do anything about SWFC. Maybe over 500m

The core still looks massive in proportion to the building.
Now it's closer to floor 70 than 60 you'd think they would have reduced the size of it by now so there would be more rentable floor area.
