This proposal by James Law Cybertecture International for the design of the integrated Observation Deck (OD) and Food & Beverage Floor (F&B) on the 100/F and 101/F of the ICC Tower. ICC is located above the Airport Express Line Railway station, comprising of primarily 2.5 million sq.ft of office area & about 400,000 sq.ft of hotel, with the OD sandwiched between the office zones and the hotel zones.

The floor pate of the OD is about 2,380 sq.m and is classified under the hotel floor area. Tourist would access from the G/F Coach Lobby, via sets of escalators to the UG/F & 1/F Intermediate Lobby before arriving at 2/F Ticketing/Queuing Areas; further into the core of 2/F, there is currently drawn – a proper Waiting Lounge for use before taking double decked lifts to the OD.

In this proposal James Law Cybertecture proposes an outstanding and unique design that will ensure visitors an unforgettable & remarkable experience when visiting this first and only observation deck in Hong Kong. Our proposal also endeavors to enhance the global landmark of ICC by adding to its architecture a Cybertecture element which is global recognizable and distinctive in design. Our proposal is entitled “Hong Kong Sky View” at International Commerce Center.

wow, i have been imagining a double-floor height observation floor for ICC. Looks like my dream came true!! so close to it. I am sure it will be very nice.

I still remember that the original plan of this obs floor used to be a single-floor height deck.

Thanks for the renders of Sky View Aboveday - looks ultra-modern, high-tech & fantastic! Also thanks for the pics ewong, gladisimo & hkskyline.

Already the cladding is looking superb. When fully clad it is going to be incredible!

Great idea for a glass floor! The views from the observation deck will be great in every direction! (including directly up)
