Im really looking forward to this building topping out. It looks alot smaller than 308m at the moment.
It's been a long wait but it'll be well worth it.

Banks seem to be relocating to West Kowloon...wtf will happen to Central then?

For now Central still retains its own prestige. Kowloon will become the new money.

Central will still be Central. ICC is the only big office building near Central in Kowloon. There isn't another one nearby in Kowloon can compare to ICC really.

Central will always be Central... maybe it's an indication of HK's expansion

For me, too! Hardly to believe. But I think it`s because this tower is such a big, fat monster.

..lol.. compare to SWFC ,ICC is 13% larger in terms of floor area.

Not to mention that the landcost and rent level of ICC would beat any commercial tower in Shanghai & Dubai easily.

My god, Hong Kong is just one of the most incredible places anywhere. The building heights are ridiculous!

The move to Kowloon by some of the investment banks is similar to what you have in NYC with Midtown and Downtown. This is just a further indication of both HK's emergence as the banking center of Asia (outside of Japan) and also the complete lack of available Grade a space in Central these days.
