I have to say that I REALLY dislike the Tour Generali.

However, the Tour Phare is incredible!! I thought it was beautiful before but the model makes it look even better!

Believe me, Thom Mayne is a genius, if he was just on pills, Phare wouldn't have that haircut, rather a square bob.

Ok i have to admit it: I wasnt behaving properly so please give me a second chance to rate it good and in "grown-up" mode.

This building is very unsusual but it has some coolnes about it. Iff it would be just a building for multiple museums and things like that i would accept it in this form. But because it is being used for office work uses it isnt a good efficient shape att all. It is an organic building but it needs to get a bit more "blocky" to make it more efficient.

The design is good but for daily uses it may fall short.

I used to hate it until I see the models. It will look more than cool from ground level IMO. As part of the skyline it's another thing though.

At least it's something never done before.

It has shades of the french telcom tower that was proposed several years ago... Any one remember that?

Anyway... stunning design I absolutely love it.

Build it, build it, build it!!!!!

I have to say I personally still dislike the look of this tower, seeing that last model on the previous page, it looks hideous in my opinion.
I think most of the other proposals in La Défence are good though, Generali has the potential to be a very good looking building

you are quite boring with this kind of comments.
the design of this building has been revealed 4 months ago, and you always seem to be surprised by it... evolve man... and respect the work of the architect who didn't just trace 2 lines with a ruler and said "here is THE tower !"

I totally agree with you. I don't like Generali tower (boring design and structure, too massive, hate the "pyramid or cone" on the top of the tower..bref: beurk!), but this one is really futuristic and has a unique design. It is going to be the new icon of La Défense

I like the top... but not so much the middle part. I wish the two went together better. Maybe continue the lines from the top to the bottom?

erm right...
This is erm an office building not some appartment tower...

Build a box... That worked at the WTC off NY.
A box makes it function more efficiently and it is by far more usefull....

But iff they wanna build this. Go and do it!

Dont come up with the excuse that this is more "organic" because a box is far more better to partitonate into area`s.

It looks like coral to me! I find it quite shocking and it's a very original design, so if you wanna build it go for it! I really wanna see it built.
Congratulations Le Defense!
what are the "hairs" on the top?
