Manuelle Gautrand tower recalls me too much the Nuages buildings. What I mean is that it looks great for a season but we have absolutely no idea how it could age. Architecture and Fashion are two very different fields, I'm not so sure we can mix up both.

As for the Michelin building, it doesn't look really different from Mayne building outside of course the fact there's not that awful back that I believe I will never get used to. I still like better the bottom of Mayne than the bottom of Michelin, but it's true the shape of Michelin's top is better than the shape of Mayne's top. Probably a solution would be to get the best of both !

As for Ferrier's building, it was I believe the best of all. I'm sad it won't get built. Maybe a version 3 will be selected for the Tour Signal ?

I hope that ! Morphosis is extraordinary, but Ferrier's project was refined proportionally and very awesome for me.
I found the model of morphosis really interesting, and I prefer this tower after having seen the model.

Well, after reading what I've written this afternoon I think my words have exagerated my thoughts. Probably I was in some kind of bad mood. Anyway, there are many aspects of the tower that I really like, but the tower has so different looks from one side to another that it's true it's difficult to figure out exactly its full 3-D shape. Unfortunately, I haven't seen the models exhibition. It would have probably helped I guess.

Unfortunately, I can't find anymore the different pictures of the model everyone has taken. There's a specific profile of the building I've seen that I had really a problem with, but I couldn't find it. Overall, I still believe that the tower is of a better quality than the one proposed by Michelin. I really like the shape the tower takes in this angle:

I think it's perhaps one of the better proposals, and judging by the renders, it looks like a perfect fit within the skyline!

I loved the Nocholas Michelin project, exepct the base.
I'm in Love with the Tessier projects too!!!
Norman's foster project was really hot too.
Dominique Perault was pretty nice too.

I wish they could get build in LD too, it would be nice!

This 'building' is an abomination.

Metropolitan, "...but the tower has so different looks from one side to another."
Is this the 'abomination' you mention about?

The most slender and elegant side of the "object" is this one :

And same here too. That's exactly the side I had in mind that I think I will never get used to. I think it would look better IMHO with the skin continuing to the bottom and probably with a bent roof.

I have the same feeling, this tower plays on perspective more than any other I can think of. We'll have to wait and see it for real for a good 3D view.

Keep all in mind that this tower is a "non-tower" concept

I really like it. It's different from all angles and has unique design.

well paris im afraid i have to say, ergh.
i dont like this design at all. its like when they drape a cloth over a dead body, except this time its a scarecrow not a dead body.

it might grow on me once its built, but right now i dont like it.

I don't know for me this tower is approved since it was approved by the government.
The new french president is the ex-president of the Haut de Seine department
(the third richiest place in europe over 1 million inhabitants with a GDP per head of 68,000 €)
La Defense is located in this department.

Shouldn't it be approved in the thread title then? If the government have given it permission?
