Ok , I think I have grown to like this Tower now , didn't like it before but over the years spending time in here , my eyes are getting bored looking at countless conventional glassy boxes , I'm ready for twisted weird shape Tower now.

I've been coming here for years. This tower has been "proposed" now for at least half that time.

Is this how long it takes to get anything built in Paris ?

Doubt that. For ages no progress. Too fancy for modern Paris. More ugly grey buildings for the city...

but in a some strange way the tower matches Paris perfectly. It's vibrant, futuristic and exceptional.
Can't wait to see it get built

I agree, the tower is innovative, completely different and challenges the standard for the city-much like a tower built over 100 years ago, and I seem to remember that had some resistance at first but is now the countries number one tourist attraction...

PHARE tower to be finally scaled down...the new project would be around 200m...it was so predictable, welcome to France!

Stuff like that happens everywhere. In London we've just had the misfortune of the wonderful pinnacle tower being cheapscaled down by a french developer into a value engineered fat slab, just terrible.
At least it will be the second tallest building in the eu, after the shard, but thsts a small consolation.

t's been a bit of a double blow for la defense lately, first with the news that hermitage is just not gunna happen and now this. Bad news usually comes in threes, i worry what's next, the triangle maybe, all tho that's a far away project anyway I believe
