I knew with the smaller floor plan this part of the tower would rise more quickly, but this progress is really outstanding....I don't envy the workers though..not in that weather anyway.

I love the way this tower looks when viewed upwards or downwards from the river. From the side, it vast bulk is more obvious and it's not quite as good, but overall it's great.

I am also pretty sure that the core of the Burj Dubai is substantially smaller than an entire floor of the Trump Tower...

Never Done Before - in all of North America...

Greetings. Just joined this discussion...and this website. To those with questions, please fire away. I should be able to answer all questions on this job as I know it well. The job is unlike anything ever done - Phase Occupancy for a LIVE hotel, while concrete continues for another several months. This is unheard of anywhere in the United States. Not New York. Not in Miami. Not in L.A. Not anywhere in Texas. Nowhere. It's never been done. Guests will be checking in, literally, while concrete is being pumped. The last jog in the tower on Level 51 has been completed structurally, and the sprint is on, to race that last 40+ stories to Level 92. You thought you saw SPEED before? Sit back and enjoy... the 14,000 sf tower footprint on that last section of tower will be quick as a 3-day cycle is carried out. Start your watches..

would be interesting to note

The way the clouds sit on the horizon in this picture makes Chicago look like Sky City.
