The mezannine floors are counted as official floors, even though Trump doesn't count them. Also, I agree that the antennas of of certain buildings should count in height, because they are important to that building's identity, and are therefore an architectural element.

I think we should start a petition. But not me, specifically, I'm too lazy.

It will have a amazing impact on the skyline. Think about the fact that, the structure of the tower will overtake the cranes mutch more if we include the spire according to situation in the last pic!

So... the tower is not finished yet, it will rise end rise further the coming months!

The Trump is overwhelming the rest of the riverfront buildings, especially the Wrigley. That view from Wacker is a great example. The base of this building is just too big and it shrinks the size of Wrigley.

A damn shame

I find it the opposite, the tower is understated and makes a beautiful backdrop for the real classic buildings surrounding it.

The lit up parking podium is a bit distracting at night but not as bad as I had first feared, keep in mind that Wrigley and the rest (cept IBM ) are lit up pretty well themselves, and the area is full of streetlights.

I disagree. The setbacks work. You can see in this picture I took at night, the setback makes it appear its shorter than Wrigley.

The building's other setbacks line up with Marina City and IBM. Not perfectly, but it respects its surroundings.

The taller building design was supposed to overtake Sears in height, but Trump thought it would be a terrorist target, so he reduced the height. Guess he didn't factor in the Chicago Spire. Either way, Trump Tower looks good for its height.

That is a mechanical transfer floor within the tower. It's an MEP zone. Every 5-6 floors they are grouped. There will be a drop ceiling condition to those floors. Yes, they are taller. Good eye!
