chicagos skyline looks so small. like eveything is condensed in that little area.
maybe its just that im used to looking at views of New Yorks skyline that is affecting my judgement.
chicagos number 2 when it comes to the most skyscrapers right?

I was actually thinking the opposite. The Chicago skyline looks enormous to me.
One of best in the world...easily.

I think buildmilehightower was going by what is said on Wikipedia. On Wikipedia however they just go by the number of buildings above 90m, many of which of course aren't actual skyscrapers. So yeah, Toronto may have more highrises than Chicago, Chicago easily has more full-blown skyscrapers though.

The skyline can look arbitrarily spread-out or condensed depending on the angels of pictures. This one I took in January has a much wider feeling to it.

To be not too off-topic, look how much TT has grown in just seven months. Does anyone know the days-per-floor measure?

Sorry people, I was referring to the skyscrapercity's biggest enemy skyscraperpage.

I just looked up then found that toronto has more buildings and highrises in both categories. But Chicago definately has more supertalls for sure.

the chicago skyline might seem big/small because 1.: it is spread out as opposed 2 NYC which is more compact and 2.:less large because, well, it is! NYC has around 150 buildings over 500 feet while Chi. has around 80

The City of Toronto also has oodles of buildings on its suburban fringes (but still in the city) that would fit that definition.

Chicago Tribune reported that it'll be done in late September. No set date yet, we'll probably hear something firm in a few weeks.

At the top of trump in this photo where there's large flat span of concrete is, how much space will there be between the concrete and the glass?
