Here's a picture from this morning:

It looks like the spire is already starting to rise. That small nubby bit on the roof with the black top on the left was there on Monday. I think it's the boom used for the hydraulic concrete pours.

But the taller, white structure just to the left of the cranes only went up yesterday. Maybe it's the start of the spire. It's in the right location.

If you look closely you can see there's even two of them, but one is hard to see because it is directly in front of the crane.

I don't think so because I believe the spire will be pre-built off site and each segment will be installed one at a time, with the third and final segment installed via helicopter.

I did. its the most comfortable bed I ever slept in. outstanding room and I stayed in the "cheapest" one at the discount price of $350. (I think the cheapest room with bump up to $500ish once construction is complete)

What floor did you get?

Did you have a good view?

not that high (teens I think) and no view was northwest. it was really weak. from talking to the people there, rooms with sick views are $750 and up

That would make sense with what I've seen of the work today. That structure I pointed out earlier now appears to be some kind of very large scaffold. Perhaps it will hold up the spire once it's delivered until it can be secured to the rest of the building.

speaking of the spire, I don't remember if this was posted here but the manufacturer of Trump's spire, Porta Fiberglass, has a neato page on their website about its construction:

No - Hydrogen, Retrograde, and a few others put out stuff that is much better than most professional work. I can't look at a Chicago postcard anymore without thinking of how I have seen better - here.
