It's not that cold in Chicago anymore, is it? I wonder when they are going to finish the spire, it is quite a time since the steel sections were put in place...

Trump spire, delayed by weather, could be finished 'in the next two weeks'

There have been some issues that have slowed down the completion, the biggest of which has been very cold and/or windy weather that made it impossible to work out there. Even yesterday with 70 degrees the winds up there made it impossible to work. We expect that with good weather it should be completed in the next two weeks.

Figures... day was so nice but also so windy... any day we get over sixty this early in the season is a given it will also be like a hurricane outside...

I'm less worried about the spire and more so about the external construction elevators. When the heck are those going to come down?!? That's what the internal service elevators are for at this point!

^ Just a guess, but I'd say after the cladding on the spire is up.

I'll be going downtown tomorrow morning around the Trump Tower (more specifically madison/wabash area) and plan on snapping a couple pictures... I'll do my best but can't make any guarantees that my pictures will be as good as harryc's, i_am_hydrogen, or wrabbit's. I'll post back tomorrow with the results.

btw I have an awesome location set up on the 23rd floor of the 25 E washington facing north, so i should have a nice angle.

Like I said earlier, these aren't anywhere near some other members pictures on here, but I always enjoy and appreciate their contributions, so I thought it was only fair to do my part

As promised:

From the 18th Floor of 25 East Washington

I took a couple more of the Legacy at Millenium Park, so if you're interested, you can check those out at the appropriate forum...
