What does Chicago have against trees? There's almost none.

And you are basing this on....what? The pictures in these pages that show the exact same location? Downtown riverside where there is extreme urbanization and space issues?
A suggestion: use that new world of discovery and ignorance-free assumptions called google maps (the satellite for the general area, street view if you feel like counting the trees). You might be amazed at how you'll be able to avoid these kind of questions/statements.

Well what does the downtown riverside area have against trees? There's space for them but it is almost devoid of greenery!

Most of the recent pics are in the dead of winter, so there's no green anywhere. Rest assured, there is quite a bit of landscaping along the river, considering the space constraints. And Mayor Daley (or more specifically, his wife) is a big fan of "green", so any new/renovated streets and sidewalks usually end up with more foliage than they used to have. (see Wacker, Wabash, etc.)

Chicago is a city, not a national forest.

The entire stretch of the river from Michigan Ave to the lake is all trees/grass. There is also a new riverside park/Vietnam memorial across the river from Trump. But like others have said, I don't know how many trees you expect in the center of one of America's biggest cities. If you want your fix, Grant park and Millennium park are a half mile south of the river.

I was just in Chicago from April 16th to 20th and I took a bunch of photos of Trump, if I can find any that look decent I'll post them.

Great skyline! Chicago has finally got another very big/tall tower (roof over 340m).

4-22

The wall at IBM plaza is so overgrown with those vines that it is no longer visible ( giving a nice effect).
